Apparently, India needs integration in other areas too, for the smooth working of defence sector and for effectively utilizing the limited resources. Needless to say, making policies are as crucial as implementing them effectively, to get the desired results.
In this ever changing and demanding environment a lot has changed over the period of time in terms of geopolitics, threat perceptions, and new dimensions in conflict, technology, policies, no war can be fought alone; hence, united efforts are crucial. For a country like India, it is necessary to make the best use of limited resources and funds to achieve its goal. In order to make the best use of resources, coordination is also required at the different levels, as under:-
- Service level - Effectively plan and work together to tackle the entire spectrum of conflict, ranging from conventional wars to irregular and hybrid warfare; integrate Service Headquarters for quick decision making.
- Industrial level - Integration of efforts by the private and public sector firms, including DRDO labs, OFB factories and all DPSUs; to work towards a common goal of meeting Armed Force's requirements.
- Procurement Level - Slash cumbersome procurement procedure to fast-track acquisition. Also a central body to take care of procurements of all services.
